My name is Nathaniel Wiley and I started Nate Wiley Productions in 2021 as an outlet for me to write. Over the past four years, it has grown. The main function of the website is now producing and distributing my podcast, TheatreQs, which has a growing base of listeners.
My articles and stories have gathered support from loyal readers. My primary goals with this site are to entertain, educate, and create, and I hope to continue doing that.
A quote that has always had an impact on me is the first stanza from Arthur O'Shaughnessy's "Ode," published in 1873.
"We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems."
I heard the first two lines of that poem in the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. That film, along with the quote, emphasize the importance of dreaming and of ambition. I hope that my dream, this website, will continue to grow and harbor my projects, and that you all, the readers and listeners, will enjoy following along every step of the way.
So, I raise a glass to the dreamers, to you, and to the future.
